📉 Excise Tax Reform Got Shot Down 📉

GM Everyone,

Once again, the cannabis sector has been dealt a blow at the hands of the Canadian government. Yesterday, it was announced that the excise tax on cannabis will not be restructured. This is a huge setback for Canadian LPs, as it would have greatly improved their balance sheets and alleviated the onerous tax burden they currently face. LPs were trading aggressively to the upside on this proposed news, and with it falling short, we will be closely monitoring their trading activity from here. Hopefully, we can finish the week strong and finally receive our announcement on rescheduling. Wink. Wink.
